Google Smart Pricing system is designed to help AdWords advertisers to improve their return on investment (ROI). Google smart pricing system is basically a system that will adjust contextual click costs for Adwords advertisers automatically based on a set of values. Google does not disclose much about the values it uses for its smart pricing system. The mechanism of smart pricing system remains largely undisclosed.

However, Google has revealed the factors that it uses to price an ad. These factors are as follows:

The advertiser’s bid

The quality of the ad

The other ads competing for the space

The start or end of an ad campaign

Other advertiser fluctuations

Google will also take into account the following factors when it determines the price of an ad:

The keywords or concepts that trigger the ad

The type of site on which the ad was served and clicked

Conversion rate of advertiser AdWords advertising campaign

Google recognizes that clicks from its content network have different values. It constantly analyzes the origin of a
click. The more relevant of the site which the ad was served and clicked to the AdSense ad, the more value it is for a
click.

Google provide a tool that can track a conversion of a contextual click. Every time an AdSense ad is clicked, Google will place a conversion tracking cookie on a user’s computer. The conversion tracking cookie will be stored in the user’s computer for 30 days. It is used to track a conversion for Advertisers.

Google Smart pricing system will use the information it gathers to make price adjustment for an ad. When the click
generated from its contextual network is less likely to turn into business for advertisers, the smart pricing system will
reduce the price advertiser pays for that click.

More than anything, an invalid click is a big no-no and it will get your account terminated faster than anything else.
Having said that, what are invalid clicks? The following scenarios generate invalid clicks.

When publisher clicks on their own ads for any purposes, an invalid click is recorded.

When publisher asks others to click on their ads for any purposes, an invalid click is recorded.

When someone uses robots or automated software to generate click, an invalid clicks is recorded.

When any deceptive practice is used to generate clicks, those generated clicks are invalid clicks.

Google AdSense has state of the art technology to monitor its AdSense program. They know whether or not a particular
AdSense site is generating invalid clicks. Invalid clicks raise the advertiser’s costs and hence Google won’t tolerate
this. Invalid clicks are unnecessary as there are plenty of money-making opportunities with valid clicks. With an
optimized website, useful content, and attractive ads, there’s no reason for anybody to even entertain the idea of
using invalid clicks.

Protect Yourself From Invalid Clicks

You are aware that clicking on your own AdSense ads will lead to the termination of your Google AdSense account. However, because you are constantly working on your AdSense web site, you fear that someday you may
click on the AdSense ads accidentally. There are two simple ways that can protect you from clicking on

your AdSense Ads accidentally. Please read How To Protect Yourself From Clicking Your Ads Accidentally. You can also find a list of Don’ts for Using the Google AdSense Program that may give you some ideas on how you can protect yourself from invalid clicks.

Google AdSense Account Terminated For Invalid Clicks

There are few honest Google AdSense website owners have their AdSense accounts terminated for Invalid clicks. These honest webmasters certainly did not click on the AdSense ads themselves and they certainly did not violate any Google AdSense terms and conditions. Their accounts were terminated unfairly. They managed to get their account reinstated. If your account is terminated unfairly, you can follow this detail guideline on how to get your Google AdSense account reinstated.

If you have your Google AdSense ads showing on multiple sites, you can use Google URL Channels to monitor the performance of your AdSense ads on each site. Google URL Channels allow you to view detailed information about the performance of your AdSense for each site. The following steps show you how you should organize them.

Suppose you have two websites showing Google AdSenseads, one is called yourweb.com and the other one is called yourweb2.com, you would like to track which one is getting more clicks.

Log in to your AdSense account and click on AdSense for Content.

Please scroll down the page until you see Channels and then click on manage channels.

Under Manage URL Channels you would type yourweb.com and click on Create New Channel.

You will immediately see yourweb.com in the Active URL Channels dialogue box.

Now type in yourweb2.com in the same channel text box and again click on Create New Channel.

You now have two channels and you will be able to track your progress on each channel.

Google URL Channel Reports

You can view channel reports from the Advanced Report page under the Reports tab.

Choose AdSense for Content, choose the date range and then select the Channels Data radio button.

Choose any number of active channels by holding down the CTRL key.

Next, click on Display Report.

It’s as simple as that. Now you would be able to track the performance of your AdSense ads on multiple sites using Google URL channels.

What is Google Smart Pricing? Google Smart pricing is designed to help advertisers to improve the effectiveness of their advertising campaign over Google content network. As a result, Google is making less money since the cost to advertisers is reduced. Indirectly, smart pricing affects the earnings of AdSense publishers because they are paid lesser.

Unfortunately, smart pricing is not just affecting publisher’s earning on one AdSense site, it affects the entire
AdSense account. Regardless of the high performance of other AdSense sites across the AdSense account, if one of your AdSense sites is smart priced, all of your AdSense sites will be affected.

AdSense publishers are earning less because of the low eCPM. You could find AdSense publishers revealing their eCPM in a forum when their accounts have been smart priced. They normally have low eCPM ranging from $1.50 to $5. However, low eCPM does not necessary implied that your account has been smart priced. AdSense sites in lower earning niche generally have lower CPM.

What can AdSense publishers do to avoid being smart priced?

The best way to ensure your AdSense site is not affected by smart pricing is to create a good environment for advertisers and your readers. Creating compelling content for your targeted readers is as important as providing good user experience on your site. The more targeted traffic to your AdSense site, the better quality clicks for advertisers.

Some AdSense publishers maintain good quality AdSense sites as well as “less than quality” sites under a single AdSense
account. They are facing higher risk of getting their AdSense account smart priced because any of the “less than quality” AdSense site does not perform well could be smart priced easily. The increase in revenue of putting these “less than quality” websites could be less than the loss of revenue due to smart pricing on the entire AdSense account.

The smart pricing system should not only be viewed as a system to protect the interests of AdWord advertisers. It is
also a system that indirectly benefits quality AdSense sites in the long term. The smart pricing system could force some AdSense publishers to drop those ‘low quality’ sites. Perhaps with more quality sites, this could boost the advertisers’ confidence to advertise in Google content network. Hence, it will bring more competition for keywords. Eventually, AdSense publishers will benefit from the high paying keywords.

Google AdSense is a good source of passive income for all people with all types of websites. How much you earn from Google AdSense depends on how hard you work for it.

Google has a pay-per-click program called Adwords for Advertiser. Adwords allows website owner to advertise their
products and services on Google’s search result pages. Google makes most of its money from this pay-per-click program.

Google has created another program called AdSense for publishers. This program allows publishers to share the revenue that Google earns from its Adwords by placing the same text ads on publisher’s website.

How Does Google AdSense Work?

Any website owners can join the Google AdSense program and start making with Google AdSense. Websites with quality information stands a better chance to get their AdSense account approved.

Once you get your AdSense account, all you have to do is cut and paste the AdSense ads code to your website. Google will deliver the Ads that match the content of your website. Every time your visitor clicks on one of these ads, Google will charge the advertiser a certain amount of money. Google will share a portion of this revenue with you.

In other words, you’re helping Google to display advertisement on your website and they pay you a percentage of what they earn.

How Much Money Can You Earn With Google AdSense?

Google does not disclose the revenue sharing percentage. They never disclose how much money they share with publisher for a click on the AdSense ads. How much you earn per click on the AdSense ads is also depend
on how much the advertiser pay for a click on their ads. Your earning per click is anywhere from a few cents to a few dollars.

Are You Going To Make A Lot Of Google AdSense Money?

“How much money can I make from Google AdSense?” or “Am I going to make a lot of Google AdSense money?” Well,
instead of you asking yourself these questions, you should ask yourself first:

How much Google AdSense money you want to make?

How hard do you want to work on your site?

How much time do you want to spend working the Google AdSense Program?

Google AdSense is a good source of passive income for all people with all types of websites. How much Google AdSense
money you earn depends on how hard you work for it. Google AdSense program is like any other online or offline
business, it requires high commitment in order to achieve good result. There is no easy way out.

How Much Google AdSense Money Can You Make?

If your Google AdSense earning is $0.00 after a week you’ve joined the program. You should not worry too much about it. You should keep reading and working on it. If however, your Google AdSense earning is still $0.00 after a month of hard work, it may be a good time to implement some of the optimization tips that you get from this site. You can play around with the placement of your AdSense ads. You can experiment different ads format on your content page and track the results. You can get more traffic using the right techniques.

As with any other business, don’t give up easily. All you need to do is find out the causes, change your strategy and
implement the new strategy. Then you track the results from your new strategy. If the new strategy works, then you can perfect it and bring it to the next level. If the new strategy doesn’t produce the results you want, change the
strategy again. Repeat this process until you find one strategy that works for you. Work hard, work smart and have
fun with Google AdSense.

There are a lot of people getting handsome payout from Google AdSense. These people have shown us that making a lot
of Google AdSense money is possible. If you haven’t made any money from Google AdSense, change your
strategy but not your thinking. There is no reason why you can’t be one of them and earn a lot of Google AdSense money if you’re working hard on a good strategy.

Applying for a Google AdSense account is quick and easy for anyone. Before you join Google AdSense program, you must get your website ready. You have to complete your website because Google will reject your application if your website is still under construction. Once your site is ready, you can point your browser to the following link and click on apply.

Please click on the drop down arrow under account type and select whether you’re an individual or business. If you’re
not sure which one to choose from, you can click on the question mark on your left. Next, select your country or
territory.

Under website information, you need to key in your primary URL. This is where you list your own website. Select your
website’s primary language. Google AdSense supports Chinese (simplified), Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French,
German, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, and Turkish.

Now you can select the product you need on your website. AdSense for Content will deliver advertisement targeted to
the content on your pages. For instance, if you write about cooking, Google AdSense block will show recipe book ads.
AdSense for Search is for you to add a Google search box to your site. Having both AdSense for Content and AdSense for Search on your site could maximize your Google AdSense earnings.

After that, key in your contact information and you’re all set. You should receive an email in 1 or 2 days from Google
AdSense team informing you if your application is approved. Do You Have to Pay Taxes on Your Google AdSense Earnings (For US Residents)?

Google AdSense Program is required to collect tax information from those who participate in the program. If you’re a business, you’ll need to put your EIN number on your application. If you’re an individual, all you’ll need is your social
security number. If you don’t have that information when you initially sign up, you can still apply for the Google
AdSense program. But be advised that Google AdSense will withhold payments to you until they receive your tax
information.

While Google does not withhold taxes or provide any tax advice, they will send you a 1099 once your earnings reach a
certain amount. Of course, if you are a Non-US business and have no activity in the United States, you will not need to
provide this information. For more tax information regarding the Google AdSense program, visit the Google AdSense Support site. For other tax-related questions or concerns, you can log onto www.irs.gov.

After you’ve done all these steps, you are all set and you can withdraw your AdSense earnings via check and start receiving your Google AdSense payment by postal mail. You may also choose to receive your Google AdSense payment through Secured Express Delivery. Using a Secured Express Delivery incurs a fee.

However you can receive your check faster than Standard Delivery. A Secured Express Delivery normally takes about
5-10 business days to be delivered to you. If you choose this option, you will need to contact DHL (the courier
service) to make sure they offer service to your area and that your address is in the proper format.

When Can You Withdraw Your AdSense Earnings?

Google AdSense pays you approximately 30 days after the end of the month in which you become eligible to receive Google AdSense payment. You become eligible for Google AdSense payment only when your AdSense earnings reach at least $100.00. For example, you started AdSense in January and at the end of the month you had not yet accumulated $100.00 in your Google AdSense account. You would then need to wait for the next Google AdSense payment date. If your January and February AdSense earnings combined is more than $100.00, you would be able to withdraw your Google AdSense earnings for February. You would be paid approximately 30 days after the end of the month of February. You could expect your Google AdSense check near the end of March.

Another good reason to use AdSense for Search is that you get to combine the AdSense for Search earnings with AdSense for Content earnings. If your combined AdSense earnings is more than $100.00 and even though your AdSense for Content earnings do not reach $100.00, you meet the payout minimum and you are eligible for payment.

As a publisher, you have complete control over the advertisement that runs on your AdSense web site. You can choose to run only image ads, only text ads, or a combination of both. Google recommends that you choose a combination of both to maximize your earning potential, but the decision is yours. When making your ad decision, you also have the freedom to choose which type of ads that will be shown on your AdSense web site or even on a particular content page.

As of right now, you are not able to differentiate your image ad click rate from your text ad click rate. You can of
course, differentiate your click through rate from one AdSense web site as opposed to another AdSense web site. For example, you run only image ads on one site and only text ads on another site. By setting up channels to track both sites, you can see which AdSense web site has the better click through rate. However you have to take into consideration that there would other factors that will affect your click through rate. These factors includes
the content of you site, the placement of the ads in general, the format of your ads and more.

Please refer to the Google AdSense Support Site for specific instructions on how to enable or disable image ads.

A lot of people would like to know the success AdSense money formula. The simple formula below is one fundamental formula that you should know.

Money = sum ( [Price Per Click] X [Number of Click] )

Logically speaking, if you want to make more money, you have to either increase the number of clicks or the price per click. If you do one or the other you can make more money from the program.

Make More AdSense Money By Boosting the Number Of Click

Increase the number of clicks on your ads is the most obvious strategy that will make more money for you. There are two ways you can boost the number of click:

Getting more traffic for your web site,

Make your ads more clickable and position them at the right place.

Getting traffic takes time and efforts. It‘s also a lot of hard work. There are several techniques that you can use to generate more traffic to your web site and hence make more AdSense money. These techniques are:

Submit your web site to search engine and optimize your web site for search engine.

Increase link popularity by link exchange, article marketing, directory submission and press release.

Paid Advertising through classified advertising, banner advertising or search engine advertising.

Participate in forums/groups related to the content of your web site.

Add comments to other blogs.

Making your ads more clickable is another way to increase your earnings. It is relatively easy to do because you can adjust your ad format almost immediately. You can do the following adjustments to your ad format to improve your click through rate (CTR):

Make them more noticeable by positioning your AdSense ads on top of your AdSense page.

Google states that the most effective ad formats are 336×280 larger rectangle, the 300×250 inline rectangle, and the 160×600 wide skyscraper. However you should choose the best ad format that works for your web site. This requires tracking and testing.

Create a custom palette that best suites your web site. In general, you can follow the following settings:

Border color : no border or background color of your website

Background color : background color of your website

Link color : color of your links

URL color : black

Text color : black or color of your main content

Make More AdSense Money by Targeting the Higher-Paying Keywords

You can create unique, relevant and quality contents that target at the higher-paying keywords to increase your average price per click (CPC). Higher CPC means that you can make more money even the CTR remains unchanged. You should find out which keyword variations for a topic pay more. Often the more specialized variations and phrases pay more than the generic terms.

You can increase your CPC by reducing the occurrence of lower-paying ads. You can use AdSense competitive filter mechanism to filter out the ads that you don’t want to be shown on your web site. It is suggested by others that showing fewer ads on a page will result in higher-paying ads displayed on your web site. A lot of publishers report that they make more Adsense money if they remove ads completely from pages with few or no clicks. Again you have to test whether this strategy works in favor of you or not.

As you can see, it involves a lot of hard work if you want to make extra Google AdSense money. You need to put in your time and effort to make it happen.
